To keep pace with time and technology Rajkot Municipal Corporation has started e-Governance project. With e-Governance RMC is aimed to provide faster, efficient and transparent administration to the citizen of Rajkot. Rajkot Municipal Corporation believes in utilizing available technology for the benefit of citizens.

Using telecommunication facility RMC has started SMS services for Property tax, Water Charges to know outstanding tax dues in the property/water connection holder’s account. In addition to that working of Call Center is fully on SMS technology.

Government of Gujarat is celebrating this year as ‘Nirogi Bal Varsha’, to support this theme RMC has developed a unique system. As soon as birth is registered a message is sent to child’s parent mobile giving details of his registration id and suggesting them to plant a tree and let it grow along with their child. Not only is that system developed in such a way that it will give reminder for the following schedule of vaccination at 08.00 in the morning based on birth date.
